Drawing from his rich cultural heritage and personal journey as a Syrian refugee, Amer creates food that celebrates memory, migration, and resistance. His dishes are rooted in home cooking, shaped by the flavours of the Levant, specifically the Syrian Coast 🌊🇸🇾
My Story
Outside the kitchen, Amer works with young people in care including unaccompanied asylum seeking children and supports initiatives empowering refugee communities. For him, cooking is more than nourishment; it’s a way of reclaiming space, honouring diversity, and sparking connection.
